NEW TEACHER: Christian Education Welcomes Susan Gibson to the Team

Christian Ed. Superintendent, Lynette Sarweh, with Susan Gibson

I have been attending Trinity-St. John's Church for the past two years and recently started co-teaching in the Confirmation Class. Prior to that, I taught Christian Formation at the Church of the Ascension in Rockville Centre for eight years. I am a Registered Nurse and have been working in a children's hospital for 26 years. I have three children: Amy, Jennifer, and Alex. Amy and Jen are both nurses at St. Catherine's of Sienna Hospital and Alex is a Junior in High School. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing with my dogs, and looking for beach glass, either on Long Island or Barbados, my favorite place in the world.

  3. Congrats to them! I'm glad many still gives time to get christian education. Did you know? There are also christian schools that offers online christian education? I hope many would grab this opportunity too!

    1. Online education is a beautiful thing. Many of our teachers already use online tools for their lessons. However, for us Christians community life is vital. In Christian Education participants are exposed to other classmates which is a lesson in itself. Practicing tolerance, respect, and love for each other are simple things that in a classroom setting take place.
